Anyone with an InterviewFi account can enter a public event. Closed events are by invitation only and never appear on this site at all.

Public events are free to enter. Prize money, where an event has it, is published on the event page before registration closes.

Where a waitlist is enabled you take a numbered place on it, and freed seats are filled in order automatically up until the exam starts. Where it is not, the event is simply closed.

Withdraw any time before the exam starts and your seat returns to the pool. Once the exam has begun the sitting cannot be withdrawn.

It depends on the event. Safe Exam Browser events need a one-off desktop install; browser events need a recent Chromium browser and entire-screen sharing. Every event card and page states which, and links to the guide for that track.

Neither is. They are different trades. Safe Exam Browser locks the operating system down but loses all browser-level telemetry; browser mode observes considerably more activity but does not lock the machine. Each event picks one.

Not where the event requires a single display, which is the default. Disconnect the second one physically before you start — Sidecar, AirPlay and a connected projector all count.

Answers are written to the server as you go and the clock is server-side, so you rejoin where you left off. Time genuinely lost to an interruption is what the appeal window exists for.

For a published number of minutes after the start, yes. You get the time remaining on the event clock rather than a fresh full duration, because everyone finishes together.

No. The camera runs live and stays visible for the whole exam, which is most of the deterrent, but nothing is recorded. Only periodic still images are stored.

No. In browser mode periodic still images of the shared screen are stored; in Safe Exam Browser mode screen capture is not possible at all. There is no video in either case.

Each event publishes its own retention period on its Proctoring tab, before you agree to anything. The stills are deleted on that schedule.

Only if the event explicitly enables it, and it is off by default — a false positive ends someone's exam, which is a much more expensive mistake than reviewing a flag afterwards.

No. Publicity is opt-in, granular, and collected separately from the consents required to sit. If you stay private your row still appears and still counts toward the field size, but carries no name, photo or country.

So that judgement counts. A wrong answer costs a full mark by default, cancelling out a right one, so you have to be right more often than wrong for answering to beat skipping. A blind four-option guess loses half a mark on average, narrowing it to a 50/50 is exactly break-even, and leaving a question blank costs nothing.

Fewer wrong answers, then more correct on the advanced and expert questions, then less total time answering, then the earlier submission. The order is published before registration closes.

That is a genuine joint rank. Both take the full prize, and the place below the tie is still paid.

After integrity review. There is deliberately no path from scoring straight to publication, so there is no window in which a provisional order exists publicly.

Everyone who completes with a clear integrity outcome earns at least a participation record. Top placings and percentile bands earn a formal certificate, and every certificate carries an id anyone can verify.

By its id, on the public verification page. A revoked certificate and one that never existed return the identical response, so the page cannot be used to fish for records.

Within 30 days of results being published, through your InterFiRank hub. Claiming requires identity verification, and an unclaimed prize expires.

Appeal within 7 days of publication. Where the paper was published you can check the key and the explanation yourself first. If an appeal is upheld the field is re-ranked and affected certificates are reissued.
