The Talent Network lets recruiters find candidates who have opted in, for roles they have not applied to.
It is opt-in, and it is granular
Nothing about you is discoverable unless you turn it on. The controls are separate, and turning one on does not turn on the others:
- Be discoverable — your profile can appear in recruiter searches.
- Accept direct interview invitations — a recruiter can invite you to interview without you having applied.
The second is deliberately its own switch. Being findable and being contactable are different things, and consenting to one has never implied the other.
What a recruiter searching sees
Skills, experience level, location and availability. What they do not see is your email address or phone number: the search index is built without personal contact details in it, so a recruiter cannot search the Talent Network by email and cannot read one out of a result.
Contact happens through the platform. If you accept an invitation, your details go to that organisation at that point — because you chose to.
Leaving
Turn discoverability off and you stop appearing in new searches immediately. Organisations that have already invited you keep the record of that invitation, as they would for anyone they had contacted.
